GLOBE Export Award applications are open until November 1
The Georgia Department of Economic Development seeks to recognize intrepid exporters who entered new international markets during the 2020 pandemic for its annual GLOBE Awards.
The awards – an acronym that stands for Georgians Leaving Opportunities By Exporting – recognize companies that have entered a new country in the previous year.
Applications for the period January 1 to December 31 of last year must be submitted by November 1.
From last year through this year, the form includes an opportunity for companies to be named “Exporter of the Year” in each of three size categories: Small, Medium and Large.
Since its inception seven years ago, the GLOBE Awards have recognized 195 companies from 48 countries, including 31 last year. Some 84 percent of the winners are companies with less than 100 employees. Learn more about last year’s Global Atlanta winners here.
