NEW YORK, June 9, 2021 / PRNewswire-PRWeb / – Enabled June 7, 2021, boxer O’Shaquie Foster testified in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of new York a response plea in the case (DIBELLA ENTERTAINMENT, INC v. O’SHAQUIE FOSTER; Case No. 21-cv-2709) brought against him by DiBella Entertainment, Inc. (“DBE”), which sued Foster in March latest.

Foster, ranked 2nd super featherweight boxer by the World Boxing Council (“WBC”), was sued in March by a boxing broker. Lou DiBella’s company, DBE. This trial accused Foster and his manager, Keith mills, for trying to terminate their contract with DBE after DBE invoked a force majeure clause after boxing was reportedly closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among other allegations, Foster’s response argument alleges that:

  • DBE is no longer a combat promoter but rather a combat broker, as it no longer has the connections and other characteristics required of a promoter.
  • DBE violated the terms of the promotional agreement that was signed by Foster on April 14, 2019.
